Another month, another ArtWalk. A couple of weeks ago I packed my car and drove to San Diego to participate in the lovely ArtWalk art festival in the Liberty Station complex. The weather was perfect and the people were absolutely wonderful. Many people went home with a little part of me (I do hope they post pictures of their new paintings in their new digs- oh please do!) and I packed up after the long work-end and came home.
Now I am looking forward to September. Out here in the desert it supposedly means the monsoon season which includes humid weather, thunderstorms and flooding. Should be fun! At least my car will finally get it’s annual accidental carwash.
September 17th and 18th is a weekend festival and gallery show I’ve been looking forward to. It’s the Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition and the festival will be held on “the lawn” at the 29 Palms Inn while the juried gallery show will at the 29 Palms Art Gallery. The reception and awards night is Saturday September 17th but the show runs all month. I will be there all weekend with all my latest works for sale. If you’re in the neighborhood it would be lovely to have you stop by and say hi!
I’m also planning for the biggest local arts event of the year, the HWY 62 Open Studio Art Tours two weekend in October, but one thing at a time!
One event at a time, one painting at a time, one day at a time, one breath at a time.
